CAKE SMASH PHOTOGRAPHY - THE FULL EXPERIENCE
We had brilliant fun at our son’s first birthday cake smash. The props, backdrops, and outfits are great and so much more varied than I’ve seen anywhere else. Jade got wonderful shots despite him insisting on doing everything his own way and deciding he doesn’t like cake. We’ve just had our viewing session and the final photos are gorgeous. We’re already looking forward to our next session.

ABOUT THE CAKE SMASH PHOTOSHOOT
The first birthday photoshoots consists of four sessions. We begin with what you came for, the cake smash, this is where the fun begins and things get messy, for this part we sit your (not so little) baby in front of the cake and all rules go out of the window, we let them go crazy. Children love to be let loose on a cake, which creates some brilliant laughs, smiles, giggles and expressions.
We then go on to the splash part, where we put your little one in the mini bath tub with water and plenty of bubbles, letting them splash away and enjoy the water, which creates some gorgeous, natural and fun photos.
Now they're used to the camera, we get some standard posed photos on a set to match your preferences. Sibling photos can also be done here. And finally, if you are brave enough to step in front of the camera yourself, then here comes the family part, where we'll do a mini session to get a few lovely images of you all together.
We decided to invest in a photoshoot for my little ones first birthday and went for a cake smash as they won’t remember it themselves and parties seemed like a waste to me personally. Where you have your babies photos taken matters. You're probably not as anxious as you were when your baby was a newborn, but it's still a daunting thing, bringing your baby to a stranger and letting them handle them, or worrying how they'll behave in a new place. I get it, I'm a Mum myself and I know how you may be feeling. You might be a little sleep deprived from your baby going through a regression, frustrated that they're teething and you can't settle them, stressed incase they need to eat during the shoot. I know first hand how babies don't always stick to routine and if you need to take 20 minutes out to soothe, feed or play with your baby - that's okay. Separation anxiety is also a real thing and a lot of babies don't always want me to hold them at first which is fine. I allow plenty of time to get to know your baby first, to play with them, make them laugh and gain their trust before I even think about taking a photo. It's a very relaxed experience, for you both.

Would just like to say if you're thinking of going to do your baby a cake smash I would definitely recommend going to Jade, she is absolutely amazing and was so good with my 1 year old! We also viewed our photos today and everything was just perfect. Myself and my partner had to idea what to pick etc and she was just amazing, talked you through everything 100 times if we needed! AFTER THE CAKE SMASH PHOTOSHOOT
At the end of your photoshoot we'll set a date for you to come back and view your images, which will be scheduled for around 2 weeks after the session. I will then process your images to the highest standard, spending time turning them into beautiful art work - giving you a wide range to choose from at your in person viewing appointment.
As I know you will be very keen to see some photos, I will get a preview onto social media within a few days as it is a great way to tag and share with your friends and family. However, if you do wish to keep your images private, this is no problem at all, just inform me of this beforehand. If you do want to see the upload, there will be a free print up for grabs too.
You will then be invited back to see your gallery on a slideshow with music, where I will help you chose and pick the package suited to you and your budget. I will also guide you with what images work best together for any prints and wall art you may decide to get. Please note, I am just there to advise you from my professional point of view and there is never any hard sell.
After viewing the images from my Granddaughters cake smash. All I can say is I could not choose, every picture was amazing and you could see the enjoyment in my granddaughters eyes in every picture.
